The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has made it mandatory for sweet shop owners to display the expiry date for their unpackaged sweet products starting October 1, 2020. The sweet shop owners have also been asked to display manufacturing dates, however, this rule is not mandatory.
